seven segmen with 4026 driver

I build counter with IC 4026, this is my Abandon project.. since 2005 i do not touch it. my money not enough to buy addtition of SSD (Seven Segmen Display) so this is it the the pin figure :

compare to BCD Counter(IC 4511) this use only clock to change that digit, 0...1..2...3..4..5..6...7..8..9.. meanwhile BCD need 4 wires (a,b,c,and d)

Var Pattern Matrix LED8x8

Visit www.Dharmanitech.com lately i found and interest project. Microproccesor, before do that i must understand how the memory work dan microcontroller programming. there are many project about matrix LED, Display Variable Pattern via 8x8 LED Matrix. Controlled by microchip PIC, ATMEL, etc.
my plan is creating an used EEPROM to display 8x8 LED, use multiplexer counter to represent 8 coloums. bob blick did that. i want make it too.

Volume Control 4066

Replace than old mono Variable Resistor with digital one. yes i wish i can create an digital Volume COntrol. i bought IC 4060 it's Quad Switch. use R2R Ladder to make some Bridge. For example the level is 0000 binary (all switch off) the output are 0% when all switch on (1111 binary) then the output 100%. We need some Count Up and Count DOwn IC to produce 0000..1111 binary counter. Use 40xx family IC, can use in wide voltage 3,6,12V. the PCB must not over 3x3cm (two IC) with two button, 4 LED binarycode id.

Can you figure out? What about that scheme? come on quick design it, create it and get the photo. put on your web site . then notice me on comment page :-)

Shining Star LED

Here I dedicated to my fan. How make a shining star. This scheme suitable for electro beginner, when i teen-age, a create some running, chasing 10 LED use IC 4017. it's work. and i become actdictated. next project are bicycle LED, Horse LED ( a horse? yes, feet, head, tail made from LED, wired together, lovely put on my desk).

The design of star LED is each feet (5 or 6) can light sequentially. need more than one IC 4017, or you just link in series or 5 LED. need TR to pull more power (20mA x 5 LED) better if you use Blue LED, but it's more expensive than green LED. (double price)

Digital Electronic is start knowledge to get more complexity about how this computer work. begin from lesson How to convert DEC, HEX, BIN, numeric. Lesson two must understand gates :-) OR, AND, NAND, NOR, also how to make circuit. Use several digital IC 74xx TTL and 40xx CMOS, Karnough Map, Add, Sub, multiply, How about Flip Flop, Register, Counter running. Talk about PROM and EPROM, RAM, minimum system consist of Processor and Memory, Know how DAC ADC, I/O, finally you make your own MicroController.
i think i wll start making ring counter project, easy to build use IC 4017 :-)

EPROM

EPROM = Eraseable Program ReadOnly Memory.
it is IC that can keep data or program instructions.
I use it for first step movement to undestanding about mikroproccessor.

What is Analog n DIgital

Analog is signal continously between Vcc until Ground (example range 5Volt..0Volt)
Digital only accept low signal (0 Volts) ang High Signal ( 5 Volt or Vcc)
can u tell me more the different?

Audio Clip Player 1999

When i googling, i found this old scheme (re-drw for clarity) about audio clip player. it uses IC 555 timer, IC 4040 counter, IC EEPROM 27512, ResistorLadder DAC, and Mini Amplifier with 324 OP AMP to produce audio clip. hmm.. cute, i wish it can put on my bicycle to promo ice cream, bread, etc. Look like ringtone, ups i mean audiotone.

What about the wave data ?
Try to make from 8bit-mono *.wav file, use any audio converter (ex: winamp waveout) to convert from mp3 to wav. THe calculation, if use 8000hz sampling-rate and 64KB ROM so only 65536 byte / 8000 byte = 8 second !!! hmm...enough to say several word. for promo audio clip ?? see more his project at http://www.nishioka.com

how to re-presentate the percent. of duration ?
Use IC 4017.
input clock from A10 then lets the 4017 calculate the duration every 10% (4017 have 10 led or ) after 10 steps (or 8 steps in A11,A12,A13?) i will back to first led.
i Think it's cool behavior act like Knightrider LED.

I interest to Moving Sign LED

After reopening my storage, since 96 when in highschool
i discover that i have kit EPROM IC that not finished yet
i'm to see that. hmm.. today i want to reveal that.
i want to make my dream that day come true.
off cource i have enough money now to buy addition spare part.
next step, i start to use google to find schematic..
hmm.. only got from Mr. BobBlik use 24c512 EPROM with
8x8 display matrix led. any scheme make me more confuse
could u give me more cleary number pin of EPROM how to
program with keypad, i dont need serial connection to PC
do not use AT51 microproseccor (may be next year)
cause have limited fund to make that toys :-p
in the night i still try to learn several downloaded file
hmm.. regain knowlegde about electronic, digital, heat solder.
